Some find the AirPods’ long stem design innovative while others (myself included) see it ugly.

While Apple managed to shrink the stems on the AirPods Pro slightly,

Anker decided to make the AirPods bigger and thicker on the Liberty Air 2.

The end result is an attention-grabbing and modern design;

They are significantly different compared to the headphones on the market, as you will be distinguished in a crowd.

They are made from an all-plastic body that’s much stronger than the recycled plastic used to make the AirPods Pro.

The Soundcore Liberty Air 2 was released in the white model,

which featured a matte gray finish on the front and a red accent near the lower trunk.

It’s brighter than the clean white look of AirPods and works for those who want a little more flair.

As for the sound quality of the Soundcore Liberty Air 2 headphones,

the frequency response may not be well suited to the true and pure sound amateur.

However, it does have access to an equal and clear volume of a pair of headphones that are as cheap as $ 99.

But when I tested, I found that the bass reproduction might be a little heavy,

but you can dispense with the extra bass by entering the SoundCore app to choose a different preset so that you can dispense with that annoying bass.

The Soundcore Liberty Air 2 has subtle mid-range frequencies, but as we have seen, bass tones can be very loud and lead to a phenomenon called auditory cloaking and inaccuracy, which causes bass to affect midrange sounds and makes them appear lost and blurred As we said you may only have to adjust your preset to find them.

As for the noise cancellation feature, the Soundcore Liberty Air 2 isn’t equipped with real noise cancellation, but for the price it looks absolutely good.

The quality of the microphone is also one of the biggest things that the headphones are famous for, as they have four microphones together to capture your voice and eliminate background noise simultaneously, as the background noise reduction has been greatly improved despite not being completely removed.

And if your goal is call quality, these are the earphones you can get at this price.

Touch Control

The touch control capability of the Soundcore Liberty Air 2 headphones isn’t quite good, as there have been times when I put too much pressure on the touchpads until they respond to resume or play music.

And there was only one time that the touch controls worked properly, and that was when I started with long pressing to turn the buds on or off.

Both Google Assistant and Siri work smoothly on these headphones, sending responses to inquiries as quickly as possible as I received no delay from my headphones test.

But Siri was a bit choppy at times when responding to responses, causing some distortion, but ultimately the experience was good.

Soundcore’s App

The Soundcore Liberty Air 2 includes a number of useful features and SoundCore’s app, such as firmware updates and basic hearing testing.

And the SoundCore app actually customizes the sound according to your capabilities via SoundCore HearID, so you can easily switch this profile and re-test yourself at any time.

Also through the app you can create a custom equalizer, or choose from more than 20 presets where the EQ will be saved directly to the headphone and applied when listening from any device – like the Jaybird X4; And if you want to erase it, only if you manually reset the earbuds.

And don’t worry, listening with an EQ preset doesn’t downgrade the Bluetooth codec for streaming from aptX or AAC to SBC.

The SoundCore app is essential if you are looking to reset the controls as you like and adjust the settings. You cannot apply the dedicated functions when listening in mono mode; Instead, the controls revert to the default setting for the headset in use.

Unfortunately, the volume controls are one of the settings, you won’t be able to adjust the volume just by inserting a single earphone.

Battery Life

As for the battery life of the Soundcore Liberty Air 2 headphones, it can last all day, as during testing we succeeded in running the headphones seven hours and five minutes of battery life on a single charge, which is a big improvement compared to the original versions.

The charging case also supports Qi fast charging. When testing the charge, 10 minutes of charging gave us an additional 2 hours of juice to keep playing the music as we wanted.

The case can also provide three charging cycles before recharging, which takes only two hours using the included USB-C cable.

Our Verdict

For less than $ 100 you can get the pure, dynamic sound of the Soundcore Liberty Air 2 that can be customized via the Soundcore app via EQ, presets or private listening mode.

The call quality is also quite rewarding and great, as it has an adaptive microphone system from Anker that enables you to make clear phone calls and chats over the web.

The headphones also have a longer battery life than the AirPods Pro as well, so you won’t feel any discomfort in that regard.

The headphones also have a closure system that protects them from the risk of damaging

or losing the buds, but you will also need to restrict interactions

with the touch controls as they do not provide the most accurate results.
