APPLE iPhone owners are ready to receive a much-needed update that promises to fix a nightmare we’ve all had by sending messages to friends and family. Here are all the details.
We were all there. They grab your iPhone and quickly send a message to find out
that you mistakenly sent it to the wrong person.
Even worse, there is an unfortunate typo that makes text to an elderly relative seem completely inappropriate.
It is a nightmare scenario that we have all faced several times.
And it looks like there is nothing left to do but stick your head in the sand and try to escape a ridiculous and accidental mistake.
However, Apple was working on a solution to save our blushes and allow iPhone owners to edit text after it was sent using the popular messaging app. Apple finally did so and applied for the patent.
On closer inspection, he found that the US company is considering introducing the option
so that fans can change their statements in a message. The update was found in a recently released patent
that was just released by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
The patent states: “There is a need for electronic devices with improved methods and interfaces for processing sent messages.
Such methods and interfaces can complement or replace conventional methods for processing sent messages.
Such methods and interfaces reduce the number, length, and/or the type of user input and creating a more efficient human-machine interface. “
How would that work to end nightmare iPhone owners ?
iPhone users can currently delete messages from their own devices by long-pressing the blue bubble and selecting “More” and then tapping the bin icon.
However, please note: this will only delete the message from your iPhone
and not from the recipient’s device, so you can read and reread your catastrophic text as many times
as you want while falsely believing that you are out of danger.
According to the patent, iPhone owners who want to change what they said in a previous message can long-press the text and choose a new editing option from the menu.
Unlike the Delete option, which works only for the sender, this changes the message on both the sender and the recipient’s iPhone.
Once the message has changed and things are completely transparent, the messaging application will indicate that the text has been edited.
Along with this editing feature, it is also believed that Apple could work on a private messaging feature and the ability to translate text into other languages.
There is no official confirmation of these updates, but we may not have much time to figure out what features are coming in for the iPhone.
