it has a beautifully designed design perfectly for both the comfort and the frustrations of the split-mini keyboard design,

thanks to HyperX’s distinct, no-nonsense design philosophy.

The HyperX Alloy Origins 60 has excellent switches and a smart physical design, plus nice lights and good enough software.

But it requires a large learning curve for anything outside of gaming, but overall it’s a good product that’s well done.

Distinctive Design For Games

As for the design of HyperX Alloy Origins 60, firstly, the number “60” in the name of the product means a “60%” keyboard design, which means that there is about 40% of the traditional keyboard layout.

All in all, the 60% design is a particularly tough sell for touch typists as well as full-size keyboard enthusiasts.

This design means that you will lose the number pad, separate media controls, function keys and arrow keys.

During tests when we plugged in the keyboard, I immediately started missing the arrow keys as I found myself trying to get them.

The design is nicely small, measuring 11.5 x 4.0 x 0.5 inches, and you can also support the angled keyboard,

which increases the height a bit, and comes very easy to carry thanks to the detachable power cable (USB-C to USB-A).

HyperX Alloy Origins 60 features an aluminum frame and durable matte keycaps,

and shines RGB lighting across the entire device, it’s a stylish keyboard.

The HyperX Alloy Origins Keyboard has 60 HyperX Red main keys, often the red keys, and typing on them is more like a typewriter than a membrane keyboard.

Features : (NGenuity app)

The HyperX Alloy Origins 60 Keyboard has a variety of customization features via the NGenuity app,

you can launch the app directly into the controls that make it easy to apply new colors,

and one of seven built-in effects and different cycling speeds provides you with lighting up the keyboard on a per-basis a key.

NGenuity is also used to assign new functions to any key, and there are a variety of classes available such as mouse function, multimedia, macro, and Windows shortcut.

For example, you can use the Left Shift key to launch Task Manager and the Esc key mutes the sound, in addition to the ability to assign all of these assignments to a key in the “base layer” or “Fn layer”.

The app also gives you access to brightness settings and preset configurations, along with Game Mode that can be used to disable any combination of four different keyboard shortcuts that could spoil your gaming session.

There are three different profiles that can be converted using NGenuity, via keyboard shortcut.

Fast response performance

As for the performance in the HyperX Alloy Origins 60 keyboard, it was great, as it provided extremely enjoyable performance in many games,

as is the case in most very small consoles, so for example we played Final Fantasy XIV and the experience was very good.

I also tested the keyboard with these games, along with Control and Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition, and the device had surprising positives and some negatives.

The Alloy Origins 60 and Exquisite Mini Keyboards could be a surprisingly good match for first-person shooters.

As it is great with movement, weapon switching and interaction with the environment,

for example the game Doom Eternal was a great experience for me as I felt more fluid than usual.

But there are many MMO games, including FFXIV, that tend to ask for a lot of major combos,

Especially once I hit high levels, and this lack of a dedicated row of function keys slowed me down.

We also noticed that both Control and Age of Empires III work fine, Alloy Origins 60 works just as well with most games as any other HyperX keyboard.

The HyperX Alloy Origins 60 keyboard is pretty impressive at 60% gaming,

as living without a number pad is relatively easy compared to living without a function row, arrow keys, and other basic keys.

This keyboard has everything we are looking for in a premium keyboard,

as it has a detachable braided cable that is easy to transport; In addition to the excellent build quality resulting from the double PBT keycaps, an aluminum top frame,

It also features seemingly reliable mechanical switches and easy-to-configure RGB lighting, with the included keycap puller and dedicated spacebar.

Alloy Origins 60 is a responsive, linear keyboard layout with quality in mind.
