MSI Cubi 5 10M microcomputer is very simple, yet useful and very practical for home use, especially in these days in the global pandemic period.
But away from that, it suffers from a market position that puts it against more aggressive competitors.

MSI Designers created a very simple and fluid style with the Cubi 5 10M, featuring a combination of metal and plastic.
The chassis has a lot of gaps, to aid in cooling during use, as the microcomputer contains an active fan for the heatsink.
There is a great feature that you can simply access inside the computer to swap or replace the SSD or memory.
Measuring approximately 4.41 x 4.57 x 1.75 inches, and weighing just over 1.2 pounds, the device is surprisingly compact and feels solid and durable.
Because of the conditions that the country is going through during that period,
The number of people who work from home increased, and the need to work on a suitable keyboard with a large screen also increased.
Small computers and screen kits go a long way to making this possible and are also quite functional these days.
MSI’s Cubi 5 10M is a small computer and sometimes called a nettop,
and it has an Intel Comet Lake CPU based on the 10th generation, which is still a 14nm process.
Manufacturers have packed a lot of firepower into a computer the size of a shoebox.
In terms of ports, the back of this microcomputer contains an HDMI port,
a full-size DisplayPort connector, and a 2.5Gbps Ethernet port,
thanks to the Intel WGI219V, and it also contains four USB ports and a special power port.
The front part contains the power switch, USB Type-C connector, LED indicator, two audio ports, and another full-size USB port as well.
The box does not include a cable to toggle the optional power button but nevertheless
it comes with a short SATA cable and a standard VESA mount.
This little computer has an Intel Core i5-10210U CPU, a quad-core laptop processor with a 15W TDP.
It also has a base speed of 1.6 GHz, Intel Wi-Fi Module Wireless-AC 9462 802.11ac
and works everything on Windows 10 Home, 8 GB system memory (Samsung DDR4 SODIMM), a WD SN730 512GB PCIe NVMe solid state drive.
Unfortunately, we noticed that there is no microphone, external antenna, or even speakers.
The device features a standard 65W power supply unit that is sufficient to fully operate the device.
Cubi 5 is also available with a Windows 10 Pro version which comes with about twice the system memory.
Cubi 5 10M mini PC stands for average performance; And I don’t mean by the word medium that it’s cash.
But we must be aware that it uses the laptop’s CPU and pushes the memory into one slot only, and this would deprive the unit of any performance improvements due to the configuration of a dual-channel memory.
Also, the built-in Intel UHD graphics subsystem can run two 4K monitors, but don’t expect anything other than spreadsheets to run on them only, as I see it is very rudimentary.
The SSD is a much more capable unit compared to the SN520 in the Pro 24X AIO, as it gives this small computer some zing which should come in handy when dealing with a lot of large files.
