The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 is the ultimate graphics card, as it made one of the biggest generation leaps in GPU history.

This is the Nvidia RTX 3080 graphics cards, and it’s a really cool piece of hardware
and I think that the 3080 fits into that bracket because of the price and the performance.
couples weeks ago, I’ve been using it in my system playing all sorts of games.
The price of the 3080 at launch is 699 that’s around 650 quid in the UK compared to what the 2080 it cost.
which I think was around 1200 so quite a significant difference there. and to get to the chase based on my testing, I was using a 2080 ti before.
I reckon it’s around 25 to 30 percent faster in 1440p gaming.
it’s definitely a significant leap and recently I picked up a 24hz 1440p monitor.
and honestly playing games on that on the 3080 is amazing, it’s awesome.
I’ve been trying some games that I don’t usually play as well because there are some features that this graphics card has like DLSS which is AI supersampling in layman’s terms.
We’ve also got ray tracing features, reflections that kind of stuff, so I’ve been missing around with that too.
and we’re going to take a quick look at those things now.

The new Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 graphics card builds on the Nvidia Ampere graphics architecture,
which in turn provides tremendous improvements in every measure for raw performance.
Also, Nvidia stated that the overall performance profile is much higher than any Nvidia Turing graphics card has been capable of, so there have been clear improvements to both the RT and Tensor cores.
Nvidia has been able to double the amount of CUDA cores present in every multiprocessor processor
by making both data paths on each SM able to handle flawlessly and impressively with its Floating Point 32 (FP32) workload.
This also doubled the FP32’s raw kernel throughput, although that won’t directly translate to you twice as much frame rate as your favorite PC games.
The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 doubled the base CUDA count, from 2944 to 8704. This also translates into nearly three times the throughput of theoretical FP32 from about 10 TFLOPs to 29.7 TFLOPs.
The card also has several massive cache, tissue, and memory bandwidth enhancements, thanks to a move to faster GDDR6X memory on the 320-bit bus.
And from that, the games will get an impressive performance over the generations for years.

What I liked when I took the test is that this generation of graphics cards is not just about games,
as Nvidia has brought two new features, for example, RTX Voice has finally taken out Nvidia from the beta version
and made it into a full-featured streaming app.
Its advantages are that RTX Voice filters out the background noise from the microphone.
The second feature is an API that works in conjunction with Microsoft’s DirectStorage API, as it routes data directly from the SSD to your graphics card.
As for the actual Founders Edition graphics card, Nvidia chose a new, cooler design, and through testing we found that it was more practical than anything that had been made with a reference design before.
The company used a shorter, multi-layer PCB to make the back end of the card just a heatsink.
We had expected since the release of the RTX 3080 that it would be a fast graphics card, as it was described as “fast”, but it was wonderful by all standards and the description never fulfilled its right.
From the moment we got our hands on the card, it’s been in our personal devices, running everything in a dazzling, beautiful way from Final Fantasy XIV to Control.
Before that, we had an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Ti graphics card in that device, and the difference between it and the new 3080 was immediately apparent before we started measuring performance in a quantifiable way.
For example, in one of our tests in one of the games we play, Final Fantasy XIV – it’s a problem – and in that game, especially in the latest expansion, where at its low moments the RTX 2080 Ti was below 60 frames per second at 4K.
But with a modern RTX 3080, that doesn’t happen.
But normally this game would normally run anywhere from 75-100fps in 4K with maximum graphics settings.
And when we tested the thermometers on our benchmarks it was not very exciting, as you should bear in mind that it was recorded on a test bench and it was outdoors.
As temperatures peaked around 60 ° C, this was way cooler than the mid-80 ° C temperatures.
The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 is even higher than the RTX 2080 Ti. Right after the bat in 3DMark Time Spy Extreme,
When we tested the RTX 3080 was 63% faster than the RTX 2080 and 26% faster than the 2080 Ti.
The RTX 3080 is said to be between 50 and 80% faster than the RTX 2080, while only dropping even lower in the Fire Strike Ultra, where it only managed an estimated advance of around 29%.
And through several tests, we don’t really recommend anyone buying the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 unless it will play in 4K, as the gains will not be present at a lower resolution.
The performance shown and guaranteed with the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 graphics card has widened the gap that exists between Nvidia and AMD at the high end, it is clear that the AMD Big Navi will have a big battle in its hands if it wants to try to claim the 4K crown that the RTX 3080 has just won.

The RTX 3080 is one of the best graphics cards to date to deal with, as with it you will be able to make the most of every game under the sun.
Performance demands are about to rise, due to the constant emergence of new games, but the RTX 3080 is remarkably more powerful and capable, and it will never let you down.
If you have one of these older cards, you will have huge gains with the RTX 3080, because given that the generational gains between Nvidia Pascal and Nvidia Turing graphics cards were very small.
Don’t buy it for
You won’t be able to choose this graphics card for lower-resolution games, as the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 is a 4K graphics card.
Nvidia hasn’t lowered the price back to pre-Turing levels, as the RTX 2080 saw a massive price increase over 1080.
