The PDP LVL50 Wired Stereo headphone is design for gaming, inexpensive and comfortable, but its performance is no better than similarly price competitors.

Fast Talk

The PDP LVL50 Wired Stereo Headset comes at a very affordable price, with the terminal costing only $ 50, with strong sound quality for the price.

Overall, however, it looks like a normal headphone and feels uncomfortable and has a subpar microphone.

But the PDP LVL50 wired headphones will give you truly private listening and a dedicated microphone for your PS4 or Xbox One late-night sessions.

But you can get much better features than other models if you want to increase your budget up to $ 10,

as there are many alternatives in the same price range, for example there is the Astro Gaming A10 headphones and they cost $ 60.

The PDP LVL50 headphones come in both Xbox and PlayStation versions, available in green or blue, and price at $ 37.99.

FOR

  • Affordable.
  • comfortable.

AGAINST

  • Disappointing sound.
  • Slightly inconspicuous microphone.
  • The cable cannot remove.

PDP LVL50 Wired Comfortable Design

Design-wise, the PDP LVL50 wired headphones feature a simple and friendly design with wide curves in matte gray plastic.

Almost every part of the headset is rounded, with the only sharp edges remotely found in the 90-degree inflate corners of the sides of the ear pads cover in ultra-comfortable fabric.

We noticed that the light gray earcups slide smoothly up and down the black plastic headband, without stopping clicks to adjust to your preferred size.

The earbuds and liner under the headband feature black nylon fabric, as is the flexible armhole and microphone capsule covered in foam.

The PDP LVL50 over-ear headphone weighs 9.3 ounces, and the fabric that covers the ear cushions is highly breathable, helping to prevent your ears from overheating during long gaming sessions for a comfortable feel.

The PDP LVL50 has a beautiful design that should feel comfortable for hours at a time, although it is not as luxurious or premium as more expensive headphones.

Features: Connection , Good Microphone

The PDP LVL50 headphones feature a microphone that attaches to the back of the left earcup, on a circular axis that flips down when in use.

The microphone snaps into place when flipped and features an automatic mute, and there is a mechanical volume wheel at the back of the right ear piece, plus an easy-to-find thumb lever that allows you to easily switch from mute to maximum volume away from the volume controls. The sound in your device.

The PDP LVL50 has a four-foot-long gray cable permanently under the left ear piece, terminated with a 3.5 mm four-pole connector, and this cable works with any modern gaming system and most computers and mobile devices.

But if you have a computer with separate headphone and microphone ports, this is where you’ll need to get your own splitter.

The microphone performance of the PDP LVL50 is very good, producing a fairly clear but not impressive sound.

During tests, our test recordings seem a bit vague, and lack the clear and clean sound of the microphones,

but don’t worry your voice will hear in games without a problem, but don’t rely on it for the best quality when broadcasting.

PerformaGood game performance, especially at mid-range frequencies

We tested the PDP LVL50 with all of the PS4, Xbox One, and PC, and it perform pretty much well – but wasn’t good – across the board.

Firstly, the PDP LVL50 wired headphones are specially design with one console or the other in mind, most of our time playing it through PS4 and Xbox One games.

In tests, the PDP LVL50 provided a respectable balance between compound acoustic pumping, superior dialogue and futuristic sound effects in many different games.

The PDP LVL50 was great especially at the mid-range, although dialogue was placed front and center.

We also played Guacamelee (Super Turbo Championship Edition) and we really enjoyed an excellent balance between the music and sound effects, although there’s no denying that the LVL50 simply isn’t as rich or deep as more expensive headphones.

The sound scene was simple and flat, and PDP LVL50 focus on providing clear sound rather than accurate sound.

Overall, the PDP LVL50 Headset is likewise suitable for competitive games like Destiny 2 and Overwatch, thanks to directional sound which is vital to winning.

The PDP LVL50 is so good you need a headphone that does the job across a variety of genres, but we can’t recommend it if you need a headphone that excels at providing cinematic music and sound effects.

This is due to the inelastic design and the non-removable microphone, but in general their dependence on the mid-range frequencies allows the singing to shine clearly, but at the expense of the bass line.

For example, the amazing bass sound of “Carry Me Back to Virginia” was distant and boring.

Conclusion

The PDP LVL50 wired headphones are an inexpensive gaming headset, they are great as the job done if you need a large microphone for voice chat.

But there are many great alternatives in the same price range that you can choose from, for example the Turtle Beach Atlas One headphones come around $ 50, have a better microphone, and generally sound more balanced.

There are also the Astro Gaming A10 headphones, which offer excellent audio performance for $ 60.

There’s also the LVL50 but the wireless model is excellent value, providing much better wireless sound and comfort for only $ 80.
