Even with a weak signal, this amplifier is great at revealing shortcomings without shouting about them, as they will bring rough edges closer and reduce the importance of unwanted aggression without feeling claustrophobic in the music.

Design: Solid and elegant

The Wharfedale Diamond 12.3 loudspeakers are a carefully craft design with straight edges that are strategically tune to provide a rigid, low-resonance platform, this serves the drive units to work through.

The speakerphone comes fully packaged with an elegant and elegant finish that contrasts with the modest 12.3 price tag,

and we very much liked the tidy arrangement of the feet and the smart design of the nails.

Wharfedale Diamond 12.3 Speaker design

Wharfedale Diamond 12.3 comes in four colors – black, walnut, white and elegant light oak – and both drive units are equally impressive.

The Wharfedale Diamond 12.3 overall is a 2.5-way design where the 13cm upper motor covers everything from the mid-range to the bottom, and the second is to boost the lower levels.

Both drivers also use a conical material called Klarity, which is a mixture of polypropylene and mica,

which is claimed to be very light, hard and well-moistened.

The Wharfedale Diamond 12.3 loudspeaker follows industry standard practices using the same loudspeaker across the Diamond 12 range, as it’s a soft dome woven polyester 25mm, which is also good.

The front panel is carefully design and dome expose and there is a circumference closer to the dome to provide a small degree of horn bearing.

The Wharfedale Diamond 12.3 is paired with a carefully calibrated relatively advanced crossover,

the result is a loudspeaker with a sensitivity of 89 dB / W / m and a nominal impedance.

And the minimum resistance comes in at 5 ohms, which means that floor seams are unlikely to pose a problem with any suitable amplifier.

At just over 98 cm, the Wharfedale Diamond 12.3-inch speakers are not bulky,

but they still perform better if given little space to breathe.

When testing, we found it very convenient if you place it at least 50 cm away from the back wall;

For example, keep it at least 70 cm from the side walls if you want to achieve maximum stereo imaging, sound balance and clarity.

The small angle toward the listening position helps a lot in stabilizing the stereo as well.

The sound quality sounds good enough to be acceptable with budget integrate electronics

but they still have the transparency to make the most of the best discrete components.

Performance: Layered, rich sound

The Wharfedale Diamond 12.3 amplifier delivers beautiful multi-layered sound full of dynamic detail and nuance,

these speakers capture the soothing rhythms of the album in an incredibly confident and cheerful way without things getting complicated.

Wharfedale Diamond 12.3 is able to solve a large amount of information while also presenting it in an organized and controlled manner.

Wharfedale’s main competitor is the award-winning Fyne Audio F302, which sounds more enthusiastic but is less accurate at higher frequencies, and also lacks innate diamond sophistication.

During testing, we found that the Wharfedale Diamond 12.3 had a clear mid-range with a sense of seamless integration between the drive units.

We liked very much the way Wharfedale avoided overreaching; There’s just enough bass weight to satisfy it but not to the point of spoiling the balance of the presentation.

As for the low levels, they were graceful and rich in a satisfactory way with them,

and we also noticed that the diamonds are also good at low volume levels.

A really cool feature is that it can enjoy 12.3 levels that will not wake children or disturb the neighbors late at night.

And while the loudspeaker plays loudly, they loudly deliver Hans Zimmer The Battle from the Gladiator OST with liveliness, and they track brutal dynamics well, but there is also a level of precision that you rarely find in a floor stand at this price.

The Wharfedale Diamond 12.3 is the most compact speaker in the series, it retains the subtlety and music of the smaller models.

The improved presence and power makes this an affordable option for an impressive stereo hi-fi system, and is also suitable as a front part of a home cinema surround sound setup.

The 25mm dome tweeter also complements this by providing wide high frequencies that are smoothly extend.
